Keynetics is Using Clickbank Affiliates as Guinea Pigs

Here is my official theory that I've held for sometime about Clickbank and why it blatantly sucks ass.

Keynetics is the mother corporation of Clickbank and a few other businesses. It sounds a lot more glamorous than it actually is. All these businesses are run out of the same place, so when people say Clickbank has like 100 employees. Well, they also work at the 5 other corporations they control.

It seems like the major problems of Clickbank are only happening to some people. Others are unaffected. That leads me to believe that it is probably doing testing on the accounts.

Keynetics, which owns Clickbank, also owns Kount (kount.com). They all have the same address by the way. Let's see how Kount describes its business operations.

Kount is a next-generation fraud control service designed specifically to identify suspect transactions on the Internet. It is a hosted application, which means there is no software to install. Kount merchants receive real-time risk assessments, plus Kount's exclusive Dynamic Scoring. The Dynamic Scoring tool monitors each transaction for changes in risk at any time, whether before or after fulfillment.

Hmmm. If I was developing a product that was for fraud protection, I'd have to test it on real transactions to make sure it works. Right? Like, there's no other way around it. Testing must occur and I suspect that is what is happening.

My theory is that they have partitioned off the affiliate accounts into groups. There's either 2 or 3. My belief is three. One will be tested against the normal fraud software, one will be tested against the Kount fraud software. And the third is for those that make too many sales to fuck with.

I'm unfortunately under the Kount control and they're tweaking it to no end. It's the best way for them to test the software too. We are in an economic downturn, so it's not like they can look at history of transactions and compare what is happening. They have to test in real time the differences between the two.

That's my theory on why I'm getting fucked over.
